An In-Depth Look at the Practice Model for Substance Abuse, Child Welfare and Court Collaboration
Cathleen Otero, Children and Family Futures
This workshop will provide an overview of the Collaborative Practice Model for Child Safety, Permanency, and Family Recovery. The Collaborative Practice Model summarizes how collaborative practice between child welfare, substance abuse treatment and family courts can be framed using ten elements of collaboration to improve outcomes for children and families. Each of the elements and model programs will be highlighted in the session, and participants will gain an understanding of how this tool can be utilized within their own agencies.
